SZM has expanded its production capacities and is now relying on modern 5-axis machining technology. One current example from production is a clamping lever for a dual-linkage drive mechanism, manufactured completely from a single piece on the new 5-axis machining center.
While components like this previously required several machining steps and repeated repositioning, the entire process can now be completed in one continuous operation. This results in higher precision, improved efficiency, and reduced production times.
The new Hurco VMX60SRTi is used for this purpose. The machine opens up additional machining possibilities, especially for complex components and larger workpieces.
Dual-linkage drive mechanisms are mainly used in sophisticated switchgear systems where reliability and stability are essential. In addition to these drives, SZM also manufactures a wide range of manual drives. The product portfolio is complemented by the MD4 and MD5 motor drives.
