Schaltanlagen Zubehör Bad Muskau (SZM) is the New EcoXpert Master Partner for Power Services of Schneider Electric. By signing the contract on 25. February 2021, the certification and training of SZM’s employees was officially confirmed. With this, SZM is one of the only four companies in Germany which, as an independent service provider, is not only authorized to carry out modernisations autonomously, but also maintenance and repairs as well as other services on low and medium voltage systems including the use of spare parts from Schneider Electric. In addition to Germany, SZM's area of activity also includes Austria, Switzerland as well as the entire European economic area.
ECOFIT solutions for ageing low voltage and medium voltage switchgears and switchgear equipment
As an EcoXpert partner for Power Services, SZM can now include the globally proven ECOFIT solutions from Schneider Electric and expand its range of over 250 retrofit solutions for ageing LV and MV switchgear and equipment. The aim of these modernisations is to extend the life span of critical power supply systems and to increase their availability and reliability. For example, by replacing circuit breakers, contactors, safety relays or plug-in units, the unplanned downtimes and operating costs are reduced, and thus the maximum potential of the electrical switchgear is ensured.
Safety and protection of the technicians is also the highest priority in the operation of LV and MV switchgear. With such modernisations, the safety level of technicians is brought up to current state-of-the-art and risks from obsolete equipment are minimised.
Retrofit solutions ensure time and cost efficiency
With SZM's prior experience and Schneider Electric's competence and expertise, SZM can now offer its customers even more customised services for modernisation - especially focusing on the life cycle and operating conditions of the critical power supply systems. With ECOFIT from Schneider Electric, the Upper Lausatian company now has at its disposal the prefabricated retrofit solutions that have already been tested in over 85,000 applications worldwide and are constantly being further developed.
Besides time and cost efficiency for end customers, the possibility of upgrading systems with components even from other manufacturers is of particular importance here.
