The Welpenliga Cup Final has once again brought one of the region’s largest football tournaments for preschool children to a successful close in Weißwasser. Eleven kindergartens from Germany took part, giving children their first experience of team sports while promoting fair play, teamwork, friendship and physical activity.
SZM was proud to support the event together with the host club VfB Weißwasser. Every child received a baseball cap, and each team was provided with a sports backpack filled with small souvenirs, helping to make the tournament a memorable experience.
For many years, the Welpenliga has connected preschool children from the Lusatia region and neighbouring Poland through sport and shared experiences. SZM also continues to support the “Bergpiraten” kindergarten team from Bad Muskau, a regular participant since 2016.
Congratulations to all participating teams and especially to Kita Regenbogen from Weißwasser, which won both the Welpenliga championship and the 2026 Cup Final. We thank all organisers, educators and volunteers who made this event possible.
