SZM (SchaltanlagenZubehör Bad Muskau) takes care of occupational safety and health issues in an exemplary manner. This was the result of an investigation by the workers’ compensation board wood and metal in September 2023.
SZM was awarded the "Sicher mit System" (Systematic Safety) certificate as proof that the company follows the occupational safety and health (OSH) management system. The "Sicher mit System" certificate is valid for three years and was again awarded to SZM. The Bad Muskau switch gear specialist is one of more than 400 companies in Germany that have been certified in terms of occupational health and safety. The certification is voluntary.
On the one hand, the occupational health and safety certificate has an internal effect in order to raise awareness about occupational health and safety to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases and to ensure a safe working environment for employees. On the other hand, more and more business partners of SZM demand proof that occupational health and safety concerns are systematically observed. Large companies, in particular, often only start business with a company if it can prove that they have organised their occupational health and safety systematically and in a legally compliant manner.
